Making Money Online Without the Nonsense: Welcome to ROOTED & RUDE

I’ve always found it fascinating how people will spend forty-seven minutes researching a handbag, three days investigating somebody else’s relationship, and approximately eleven seconds deciding whether a business opportunity is worth their life savings. Making money online apparently deserves even less investigation. Then, when everything goes tits up, they blame the economy. Extraordinary creatures, human beings.

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Brace Brassworth, and before you ask, yes, that’s my actual name. My parents had rather peculiar ideas about naming children, although I suspect they were simply preparing me for a lifetime of explaining myself to people who weren’t particularly worth the effort.

I live in a rather luxurious tiny home just beyond the borders of a little place I’d prefer not to identify. It’s a delightful arrangement. I have everything I need, nothing I don’t, and enough distance from civilization to avoid conversations about cryptocurrency at dinner parties. People seem terribly concerned about why someone with money would choose to live in a tiny house. Apparently, success is only legitimate when accompanied by seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a mortgage large enough to frighten a thoroughbred horse.

As for how I made my money, that’s a rather interesting story. One involving an unusual product, a questionable conversation, and a decision that several people assured me was absolutely ridiculous. They were right about the ridiculous part. They were spectacularly wrong about everything else. I’ll tell you about it eventually. We’ve only just met, and I haven’t even decided whether I like you.

What I will tell you is that making money doesn’t necessarily require a revolutionary invention, an enormous bank account, or the ability to dance on social media while pointing at floating captions. Sometimes the most profitable opportunities are so ordinary that people walk straight past them while searching for something more glamorous. Making money online is no exception.

That’s precisely why I created ROOTED & RUDE: Making Moolah Moves. I wanted a place where curious, ambitious people could investigate business ideas without being buried beneath motivational speeches, suspicious income screenshots, and gentlemen who apparently became millionaires by selling courses about becoming millionaires. A remarkable industry, that. Everybody’s teaching somebody how to get rich, and nobody seems particularly interested in explaining the expenses.

Here, we’re going to examine business opportunities, side hustles, startup costs, suppliers, and the practical details that separate a promising idea from an expensive little adventure in stupidity. I’ll share interesting discoveries in this newsletter, including businesses you may never have considered, unusual ways people earn money, and the occasional financial absurdity that deserves a proper public examination. Particularly when it comes to making money online, where enthusiasm frequently arrives several weeks before common sense.

And because I believe curiosity should be encouraged before anybody starts charging admission, you’ll be able to ask your first business question through the ROOTED & RUDE app for free. After that, membership is $9.99 a month for continued access to business research and guidance. Nothing mystical, nothing wrapped in a seven-figure fantasy. Just useful information to help you investigate an idea before you start throwing money at it like confetti at a wedding.

Now, I should warn you that I have a rather unfortunate habit of saying what other people are thinking but are too polite, too frightened, or too financially dependent to mention. I don’t consider that a character flaw. I consider it a public service, particularly when somebody is preparing to invest $4,000 in a business they haven’t researched beyond a forty-second video.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll introduce you to some rather peculiar opportunities, a few ingenious entrepreneurs, and the wonderfully strange economics of making money from things other people overlook. I’ll also share occasional glimpses into my own life, although I wouldn’t get too comfortable expecting a guided tour. Privacy is one of the few luxuries that doesn’t require a maintenance contract.

And somewhere along the way, perhaps around our fourth or fifth encounter, I’ll tell you exactly what I sold that changed my financial circumstances. I assure you, it wasn’t what anybody expected. Least of all me.

Until then, remember this: being rooted means knowing where you stand. Being rude means having the audacity to question what everybody else accepts. And making moolah moves means learning the difference between an opportunity and somebody else’s opportunity to take your money.

I’m Brace Brassworth. Welcome to ROOTED & RUDE.

Mind your business, make your moolah, and for heaven’s sake, learn to count it.
